This simple guide is designed to explain the process and costs associated with orders being shipped to Canada. Please read the entire document and if there is anything you do not understand, give us a call.

Step 1: Please setup an account - this will take no more than 5 min - you will then have access to the prices, all prices are in US Dollars.

Step 2: Start shopping, you can log on and off the goods will remain in your shopping cart. Please note that we do not reserve them until you checkout. Carts that are old often have out of stock items in them.

Step 3: Shipping - We ship by UPS Expedited - this service includes basic brokerage charges and is door to door in less than a week. We get a 50% discount on UPS Expedited and will pass this on to you. The system quotes you the published rate, your actual charge will be about half of this. Do NOT choose UPS Standard - we do not get a discount and you will be charged UPS brokerage fees, it will end up costing more and taking longer - for this reason we do not ship UPS Standard. Our system will show you the quote. While we do not recommend it, we can ship by the postal service. Please call if you are considering this option. Please select UPS Expedited on Checkout.

Step 4: Payment - We require payment in advance. The simplest and cheapest way for you to pay is using PayPal - our system will have charged you full shipping before discount, we will refund the discount to your PayPal account once we know exact shipping costs. You can also pay by credit card, which will not be charged until we know exact shiping ( Credit Card companies charge currency conversion fees that PayPal does not). If you do not feel comfortable paying online, use the "on Account" option, we will call you to discuss payment.

Step 5: Logistics - Your order will normally be shipped with 2 business days. You should contact UPS Canada to setup a brokerage account. They will contact you , when the shipment arrives, but it is faster if you already have an account. The process is simple and painless, you can expect to incur some fees - Duty varies by product but averages 5% - GST tax is collected at the prevailing rate and additional brokerage fees if the shipment is considered complex. Basic Brokerage is included in the shipping fee.

Complex Shipments - this is a shipment that has more than 5 distinct brokerage classifications. Each additional classification is charged at the rate of $4.50 by UPS Canada.

10 different glass jewelry products from Chile = 1 classification
10 glass jewelry items from Chile plus 1 jewelry item from Philippines = 2 classifications

A classification is each distinct class of product type from one country.

On average we estimate that Shipping , Duty , GST Tax and any additional brokerage fees is approximately 20% of your order total. You can claim your GST back.
