Brass Images was established in 1988 in the coastal town of Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, about a 4 hour drive out of Cape Town . The long lasting success of the project is due to the fact that the group develops new designs on a regular basis and pays great attention to detail and quality. Brass Images employs 15 people from the local community to help create high quality fashion jewelry. As demand grows, the organization hires and trains more artisans, providing sustainable income in an area in need of employment.

Product Details
Handworked by South African artisans, this matt-finish brass pendant hangs from a hammered brass hoop and is accented with large round onyx stone and copper and brilliant brass. The slightly arched triangular piece is 2 inches wide by 2.25 inches and hangs from a self-bale. The patterns on the brass is achieved by applying extreme heat rather than paints or dyes. To find matching pieces, search for the numeric portion of the SKU (e.g. 404 for SKU PEN-404-GREEN).

The piece is free from lead & nickel or any other allergy producing substances. Sprayed with a clear lacquer, the piece requires only a soft cloth for polishing. Once the lacquer wears off, which can take several years depending on the amount of wear, a household metal polish can be used.
