Working with Jedando Modern Handicrafts the young men and women of Zakale Jewelry produce handmade fashion jewelry using the skills of wire work and electroplating. The project first started as a garbage collection project in the slums of Nairobi. Recycling remains very close to the heart of the project and much of the material used is reclaimed or recycled, including the cord found inside of tires, which is used to string beads.

Product Details
Made by the 15 young people of Zakale Creations, an organization that works through Jedando Handicrafts, these earrings are made from silver plated copper wire and accented with glass beads. The length of the earring from the finding is between 1.5 and 2 inches. The image illustrated nine of the designs but others are available. Bead colors vary within a given design.
