Story Behind the Art

For generations, artisans in Kenya's Kisii region have transformed locally quarried soapstone into beautiful works of art using traditional hand-carving techniques. Each sculpture is shaped, smoothed, and polished by hand, preserving a time-honored craft passed down through families. Through Fair Trade partnerships, these handcrafted creations provide sustainable income, support artisan communities, and help preserve Kenya's rich artistic heritage.
