Story Behind the Art:
Each piece of olive wood is carved using rudimentary tools, giving the platter unique marks left by the hand of the artisan. Carvers are from the Kamba tribe near Nairobi, Kenya. They celebrate the wood carving artform that has been renowned in the region for years.
